Julie Evans, LL.B (Hons), T.E.P., C.T.A.P.S – Managing Partner
Julie is our Managing Partner and head of the Private Client Department and has more than 20 years’ experience. Julie specialises in private client work including wills, trusts, probate, powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters. Julie is also a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists. Julie has been working in this area since she qualified as a Solicitor and has helped thousands of families and individuals. Examples of her areas of expertise are:
- Providing practical guidance on estate planning to a mixed client base including high net worth individuals and company directors.
- Assisting individuals with effective tax planning of their estates.
- Advising family members on the process of obtaining probate in difficult circumstances.

Martyn J Evans, LL.B (Hons), FABRP – Consultant Solicitor
Martyn is the head of Commercial and Property Litigation team. He has 30 years' of experience in these fields and was formerly a Partner in a major regional firm and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
He is an experienced practitioner, who deals with most aspects of commercial and property litigation and heads the department.
Martyn has experience of High and County Court matters as well as in the Court of Appeal in addition to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) having dealt with numerous mediations.
Martyn qualified as a Solicitor in 1986.

Tom Wood, LL.B (Hons) – Partner
Tom is Partner and head of the Family Law team, whilst also practicing in Litigation, Employment and debt collection matters. He has over 15 years’ experience in these areas. Over his years of practice, he has assisted hundreds of individuals and businesses.
Tom qualified as a Solicitor in 2009.

James Conran, LL.B (Hons) – Partner
James is a Partner who has a wide knowledge of both residential and commercial conveyancing which combined with an in-depth knowledge of the Cornish property market is invaluable in ensuring there are no unnecessary delays in completing conveyancing transactions. James also has an extensive knowledge of litigation matters specialising in property issues.
James qualified as a Solicitor in 2013.

Kathryn is an Associate Solicitor in our Private Client Department and has extensive knowledge and experience of assisting people with matters relating to Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Joanna is a qualified residential property lawyer. Joanna has a wide range of knowledge on the issues affecting property transactions and understands how important it is to be approachable and available to deal with any concerns that clients may have as their sale progresses.

Peter Edwards, LL.B (Hons) – Consultant
Peter is an experienced planning solicitor and also a barrister, making him dual-qualified as a lawyer. His planning expertise is underpinned by his experience as a planning consultant and qualifications in land use and arboriculture. Peter uses his extensive knowledge of planning law and procedures to adopt a results-orientated approach to planning problems and queries.
